No one debates that the Fantastic Four movies need a reboot. Spider-Man may not, but Sue Storm and Mr. Fantastic did. With X-Men: First Class approaching its start date, Fox’s next Marvel film will be a new Fantastic Four movie. We’ve previously reported that The Thing is going to be entirely CGI. Now ScreenRant reports on a pair of interesting names being thrown around for the role of Mr. Fantastic: Oscar-winner Adrien Brody and Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
Both actors have recently taken part in more action-oriented roles — Brody with the recent release of Predators, and Meyers with the flop From Paris With Love. Both would be logical choices for the elastic genius Mr. Fantastic, and someone was going to offer one of them a superhero role eventually anyways. After the last efforts on this franchise, it’s good to see the movie taken in a more serious direction. With either of these actors, it’ll have to. In other news, the reboot of the new Fantastic Four movie was allegedly dubbed “Fantastic Four Reborn”; this title has reportedly been stricken from the record. Although any official title hasn’t been released, hopefully they go with one less tacky.

I wouldn’t chose either of them. Someone else a little between.

I like both of then alot but their not right, ioan gruffud would still be a better reed, news flash reeds a older guy. Ioan gruffud is a great actor and was one of the few things good about the other movies, I mean come on he's horatio hornblower!
Fake!…at least, I hope so.
John Hamm would be a great fit for this character.
I'd rather Adrien Brody not be getting super hero sloppy seconds. He deserves an original character that hasn't been used already. Perhaps The Darkness?
Interesting choice. I'd like to see that.
Oh boy… here we go again with the “JOHN HAMM FOR EVERY ROLE” campaign.
George Clooney should have played stretcy rather than Batman. These other choices are way off!!!
And i actually “quite” enjoyed the first two F4 films. Except Alba was weird, and dr doom was lame.
Both would be terrible choices. Although Brody is very good actor he doesn't have that “fatherly, smartest guy in the world” look. Meyers is too young. Those guys that had John Hamm hit it right on the head. He would be an awesome choice. Hamm, Charlize Theron for Sue Storm, Garret Hedlund as Johnny Storm and James Gandolfini as the voice of The Thing. The final piece of the puzzle is a director who can balance the balance of kick ass action and family dramedy…Jon Favreu anyone?
20th Century Fox is currently the worst film studio out there.
The problem with this is that they don't even have the balls to pick a director, and that's what will matter most. Let the director choose who will be playing Mr Fantastic for petes sake.
And I've never even watched MAD MEN, 'Guest'! Imagine that.
I'm with you Thing, but I think George Clooney's choices indicate that at this point in his career, he couldn't be less interested in anything as populist as comic book hero. I could see him playing a supporting part in one of these films, if the role was limited and appealing enough to him.
