Ever wonder how the Department of Defense might react if four people teleported to an alternate universe and came back with superpowers? Probably not, but 20th Century Fox is telling us anyway. The studio just released a brand new Fantastic Four featurette titled “DoD Military Studies” that details what Reed Richards (Miles Teller), Sue Storm (Kate Mara), Johnny Storm (Michael B. Jordan) and Ben Grimm (Jamie Bell) are capable of.
The video is a bit dry for my taste, but the idea of the DoD turning the foursome into military assets is an interesting thought so I certainly don’t mind learning a bit more about their approach. You can check out the new featurette for yourself below. Fantastic Four hits theaters on August 7th and also stars Toby Kebbell, Reg E. Cathey and Tim Blake Nelson.
Here’s the official synopsis for Fantastic Four:
FANTASTIC FOUR, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.
