“Family” has been a big selling point for the Fast and Furious franchise, which is why it was hard to hear our two daddies, Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson, fighting on set. But they’re back together with Michelle Rodriguez, and Tyrese Gibson for a featurette announcing the debut of the Fast and Furious 8 trailer.

The cast will be heading to New York City, which Diesel said is the new setting, to help premiere the film’s first preview this Sunday, December 11th over Facebook. To help ready fans, the featurette reveals new glimpses at Fast 8 and Charlize Theron’s Cipher. Diesel had teased the character will push Dom to his limits, but it looks like there’s a lot more than that. Dom and Cipher are shown standing next to each other as Letty (Rodriguez) lies in shattered glass on the floor. Yes, this scene could be multiple scenes cut together, but it seems like these two may have a history.

In the featurette, Johnson teases Cipher will “show no mercy,” while Diesel says these adversaries will test the group’s family bond. Watch the video below.

The Fast franchise is one of the most unique action blockbuster properties because the idea of family extends to the cast, the majority of which have been together since the very beginning. To that note, the video includes footage of Paul Walker, who passed away during production on Furious 7, and the impact of his death is still felt by the actors three years later. In an Instagram post commemorating the anniversary, Diesel wrote that he hopes the next chapter will honor his fallen friend.

Fast 8, directed by Straight Outta Compton’s F. Gary Gray, filmed in various locations, including Iceland and Cuba. The cast also features Ludacris, Jason Statham, Helen Mirren, Jordana Brewster, Kurt Russell, Nathalie Emmanuel, Kristofer Hivju, and Lucas Black.

The film is scheduled for release on April 14th.
