We’ve gotten a few tidbits here and there from the exotic locations where Fast & Furious 8 has been filming — a Mad Max-esque scene from Iceland, production kicking off in Cuba — and now … Cleveland …! But will Cleveland be left out of the crazy stunts and street fires? Hell no!
If you want your experience of Fast & Furious 8 to go unadulterated before you see the actual film, view no further. If you want to see cars being catapulted out of a parking structure into the street while other cars go flying through the fire like it ain’t no thang, continue on.

The jokes write themselves, so have at it. But let’s also take a moment to consider the scene itself, which was just captured on a shaky mobile phone camera — and it looked fantastic even still. Also, as the commenter Pengarr aptly pointed out, “I can’t imagine one scenario that would cause that many cars to just fall out of a parking lot, and that is exactly why I love those movies.” Preach.
Also, shout out to the helicopter pilot who has to put that thing in a hard dive right before the phone feed whips over to see the cars being flung out onto the street to get the shot. And, to the stunt drivers who just fly through those flames without hesitation. The effort to do practical stunts and effects in these movies is worthy of our attention.
Fast & Furious 8 is being directed by Straight Outta Compton’s F. Gary Gray, and stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Charlize Theron, Dwayne Johnson, Nathalie Emmanuel, Ludacris, Jason Statham, and Kurt Russell. The film is set to open in theaters on April 14th, 2017.
