No offense to the stars of the Fast & Furious movies, but they should get billing behind the cars. These movies are about tricked out vehicles that you will never own going way above the speed limit. A bunch of photos from the set of the upcoming sequel Fast Five have landed online, and while I know next-to-nothing about cars, I do know these look very pretty. I suspect the tank-looking one above is the “hero car” of Dwayne Johnson’s character who we know is “on the right side of the law,” (there’s also a new set photo of Johnson after the jump).

In addition to Johnson, the film also stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Joaquim de Almeida, Elsa Pataky, and Matt Schulze. Fast Five is slated to open on June 10, 2011.

I can honestly say, YES I am excited for this.
Yeah those are from my personal collection… they were all like “oh no our movie’s gonna suck coz we don’t have any cool cars” so I was all like “well, I got a few junkers in the shed out back that I don’t care about, take ‘em”
And now I hope Vin Diesel will join to XXX3: The return of Xander Cage and Riddick…
I bought the blu ray boxset of all 4 movies recently and they kick ass even 4 and they are just such fun and i really hate people who have a go at them cos the stunts in these films just blow my fucking mind. Fast Five is easily one of my most anticipated of next year and with the rock and Tyrese involved this project is just sounding so muych better.
PS im not a petrol head but seriously those cars are giving me such a hard on

the 2011 Subaru impreza sti the last one they drove before they got the cop cars when you see the movie just remember that it was the last one they chose cuz its the fastest one on the streets with no mods. boya

I would be really disappointed if the isn’t a Mitsubishi Evo or Eclipse in the lineup. Paul Walker did a great job with the Eclipse in part 1 and the Evo in part 2
The Acura NSX was driven by Mia at the end of Fast4.I think it was the second best car of these photos.Favorite hands down is Brian’s GTR that he won from the Brazilian guy in Fast 5.The Mitsubishi line of Eclipse,Spyder,Evo were all cool but there’s no upgrade after the Evo.Rarely does the Fast/Furious franchise duplicate cars.If they did id love to see another Supra but they dont.I wish they would use at least one Honda/Acura for a major scene in the movie.The NSX was the first Honda I saw in the Franchise since The 1st movie when 3 Civics had green underglow.

Thats a Honda/Acura NSX depending if you’re in USA (Acura) or everywhere else (Honda). It was pretty much the original test base for Honda’s VTEC engines even up till now. They were built from 1990 to 2005 and had a 6 cylinder mid engine, rear wheel drive layout. It was built to parallel low level Ferrari’s and for a while it did, but then Ferrari continued and Honda went a more-economical direction.

It’s one of the first two door Nissan skylines made just after the company went from Prince Motors and stoped making the four door prince Skyline GT. 2lt six with triple jap Webers for the GT-R version.

The cars are cool but they should have substituted the porsche for nissan skyline[the one used in fast4]

The car Brian was driving at the end of fast 5 was a 2009 Nissan GT-R. Dom was driving a 2009 Dodge Challenger.
In the beggining of Fast5 Brian was driving a old Datsun.

I have seen the movie so many times and i didn’t see that green 1971 Plymouth Cuda in the 13th pic from the top. Is it just me not opening my eyes or is it not in the movie????
