AMC has released a new behind-the-scenes featurette for Fear the Walking Dead, the impending spin-off of AMC's hugely popular The Walking Dead. Featuring executive producers Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, and Dave Erickson, who also serves as show runner, the 3-minute-plus clip focuses largely on the shooting of the series in Los Angeles and how the setting has effects the tone and imagery, while also differentiating the series from the Southern-set original. The producers, along with cast members Cliff Curtis and Kim Dickens, also accentuate how the show begins as more of a family drama nestled inside a genre piece, though, frankly, that could just as easily be said about The Walking Dead, which will premiere it's anticipated sixth season later this year. Meanwhile, Fear the Walking Dead is set to premiere on AMC this August.
