This Halloween FEARnet is bringing you a 24-hour Marathon of Michael Dougherty's Trick 'r Treat, the genre anthology starring Anna Paquin, Brian Cox, Leslie Bibb and Dylan Baker.  The marathon, starting at 6AM ET  will also feature new content specially created for the network by Dougherty himself, including the original short film "Season's Greetings" that inspired the feature, other holiday shorts, and extras explaining the four rules of Halloween.  In addition, the 6AM and 6PM Screenings will have pop-up trivia facts and FEARnet will doing “Trick Or TWEET” giveaways all day with Trick ‘r Treat swag.

Our own Andre Dellamorte called Trick 'r Treat "a nasty bit of fun ... [that's] definitely one of the most inventive and fun films of genre in a long time."  The film sports a rabid cult following and inspired this wicked Mondo poster, as well.  Check out our review of the film on DVD here and an interview with Dougherty as well.  Hit the jump for more details.

The cult classic stars Anna Paquin and Brian Cox in an anthology setting, featuring four interlocking stories about people celebrating, or shunning, the infamous holiday, and the bloody consequences they face for their actions. Trick 'r Treat is the perfect complement to the Halloween season, and FEARnet is the only place you can watch it.

The 24-hour Trick 'r Treat marathon will come packed with interstitial content created and produced exclusively for the network by Mike Dougherty. These special features include “Season’s Greetings,” the original short film that spawned Trick 'r Treat, starring Trick 'r Treat's beloved Sam; Fathers’ Day, Easter and back-to-school shorts, also starring Sam; and vignettes explaining the four key rules of Halloween: Always wear a costume, always pass out treats, never blow out your Jack O’Lantern before midnight, and always check your candy.”
