Focus Features unveiled a new Fifty Shades of Grey TV spot during last night’s Golden Globes ceremony, and it’s one in which a character literally addresses how hot Jamie Dornan’s Christian Grey is.  There a bit of fan unease about whether Dornan is a good fit for the S&M-loving titular character (indeed, even John Oliver got in on the #NotMyChristian hashtag), but I’m not really sure why.  He’s suitably handsome and I’m sure he’ll do a fine job of dominating Dakota Johnson’s character over and over again in keeping faithful to E.L. James’ source material.  I’ll be honest, I’m kind of looking forward to this movie.  It looks incredibly silly, but in the best way.  My hope is that the film doesn’t mistake itself for something super serious or overly insightful, and thus far I get the feeling that director Sam Taylor-Johnson knew exactly what kind of film she was making (with some “unusual behavior” to boot).
