The first trailer and poster for Final Destination 5 have gone online.  This time the big disaster is on a suspension bridge.  As always, those who don’t have the courtesy to die in giant disasters get hunted down by the grim reaper and eliminated in gruesome, Rube Goldberg-projects of doom.  In a hint that the series may be running out of creative ways to off its characters, Final Destination 5 preys on our fears of LASIK and acupuncture.

Hit the jump to check out the trailer and poster.  Final Destination 5 stars Emma Bell, Nick D’Agosto, Miles Fisher, Arlen Escarpeta, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, P.J. Byrne, Ellen Wroe, Courtney B. Vance, David Koechner, and Tony Todd.  The film opens in 3D on August 26th.

Here’s the official synopsis and poster for Final Destination 5:

In this fifth installment, Death is just as omnipresent as ever, and is unleashed after one man’s premonition saves a group of coworkers from a terrifying suspension bridge collapse. But this group of unsuspecting souls was never supposed to survive, and, in a terrifying race against time, the ill-fated group frantically tries to discover a way to escape Death’s sinister agenda.

Wait—why is she holding a teddy bear? She looks like she’s in her late twenties. Hahaha this is insanity! Wasn’t this supposed to end with the last movie?!

Whatever happened to “THE Final Destination”? Why are they still going?

I used to be a big fan of the FD series right up until the last one. That flick just looked so bad that, to this day, I still refuse to even watch it. That being said I was really hoping that part 5 would renew my interest in the series but…nope. The trailer looks like it’s a parody of the series as opposed to a sequel. I mean death by acupuncture? Are you effin serious? That’s just too silly to even be remotely scary.

Dammit, trailer’s been removed now,due to copyright infringement so haven’t seen the clip yet >:o/
I will probably go see the movie anyway, just because i’ve watched the rest in the series, although the first two FD’s were the best,in my opinion.

Remember guys it took 5 films for the Fast and the Furious franchise to get it right, maybe the 5th time’s the charm for this one.

  • yeah this guy again

wow what a load of crap fd is more like a broken record now repeatingg the same shit – bad acting, stupid plot , nudity, stupid lines, nudity ,and the ending they leave it open for another 2 hours of worthless crap. 1 and 2 were alright.

    but c’mon!!!!!!!
