Collider reader Liz just sent us some photos of a giant still from Greg Mottola's upcoming comedy "Paul" starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.  Liz didn't specify where exactly she took the photos beyond Universal Studios in Hollywood.

For those not familiar with the film, "Paul" is the first Pegg-Frost collaboration without Edgar Wright behind the camera or writing the screenplay.  Briefly, the film is about two geeks taking a road-trip across the United States but their trip takes an odd turn when they meet up with an alien named Paul.  Along with seeing Pegg and Frost in the image, you can also make out Kristen Wiig on the right and another woman on the left who, if I had to guess, is Jane Lynch.  Obviously, we're all extremely excited for the film. Hit the jump to see the pictures Liz sent us. [UPDATE: @simonpegg says it's actually Blythe Danner on the left; I still say it's Jane Lynch.  What does that guy know?].

Here's more of a synopsis:

PAUL is a comedy about two sci-fi geeks who embark upon a pilgrimage in a RV to the center of America's UFO heartland: Nevada's infamous Area 51. While in the middle of that desert, the two friends encounter a fugitive alien by the name of Paul. Somewhat reluctantly, they embark upon an adventure that will change not just their lives forever, but also the lives of the friends and enemies they encounter along the way.
