The first images from Smallville‘s two hour Justice League movie Absolute Justice have been released and they feature Green Arrow, Hawkman, Doctor Fate and Stargirl.  Originally, Absolute Justice was going to air over two weeks until The CW decided to air them as a two hour movie on Friday, February 5th.

While this season of Smallville has been hit or miss, I’m really looking forward to this Justice League movie because it was written by Geoff Johns.  If you’re not familiar with his name, he’s written comics like Green Lantern, The Flash, Teen Titans, and many others.  Let’s just say he knows the characters and is a talented writer.  Plus he wrote a good episode Smallville last season that featured three members of The Legion of Superheroes.  What I’m trying to say is, this is probably going to be a two hour movie worth watching.  Check out the images after the jump:

While no synopsis has been released for Absolute Justice, I know the episode features Michael Shanks (Carter Hall/Hawkman), Brent Stait (Kent Nelson/Doctor Fate), Britt Irvin (Courtney Whitmore/Stargirl), Phil Morris (John Jones/Martian Manhunter), Erica Carroll (Inza Nelson), as well as the normal Smallville cast.

Thanks to the AusielloFiles for the two images.

Damn this looks so awesome but I wish Smallville would have started working with Geoff Johns years ago.

F**k Smallville and their soap-opera-zation of DC Comics and its characters.

Actually, I think it’s the Justice Society, not the Justice League.

Well Brandon, they have done both I think. Anyway, this could be good. I quite enjoyed the League episodes they did in the past. Costumes seem cheesy but so is the entire program so whatever. I just wish they’d release a picture of Michael Shanks in the episode NOT wearing the costume
