Tonight was preview night at Comic-Con 2009 and it was as crazy as I’ve ever seen it. The floor was literally packed with people and everyone was trying to take in as much as they could while still keeping their eyes open for the next thing. Everywhere you looked people were getting free swag and also buying up the many exclusives.
Anyway, while walking around the convention floor I noticed the first movie poster for “Jonah Hex”. The reason it’s significant is this is our first official look at Josh Brolin in make-up as Jonah. Due to the poster hanging extremely high up, I did the best I could taking the photos. Take a look after the jump. Get ready for a ton of Comic-Con news over the next few days.
UPDATE- We were sent a better quality version of the poster. It’s after the jump

What a boring, generic poster. Hideous logo that says “futuristic” not “wild west.”

GQ, If you’ve read any of the Jonah Hex comics, you’ll know they got the tone right with poster.

hurjay, I’ve read the comics, and I still don’t think it matches the tone of the comics unless you count him in the future, which this movie DOESN’T include.

Wait? Is this movie going to be set in the old west? This looks futuristic. It looks like a Nightmare On Elm Street film. All this really tells me is that Megan Fox has cleavage and we already know that.

I see it more as a “storm” of sh*t coming, rather than futuristic.
I like it.

Christ, this looks like some unpaid studio intern pushed a couple of production pics through photoshop. I tell you, I can’t stand uncreative posters like these. And what’s up with the title font? What better way to express “cowboy epic” than….modern, concrete-styled typeset? What the hell?
