The feature adaptation of TV's "The A-Team" is currently shooting in Canada and today photos of one of the film's central characters popped up online.  Is it Liam Neeson as Hannibal? Bradley Cooper as Faceman?  Nope, it's the van.  How do we know that this is indeed "The A-Team" van back in action?  Simple.  The "new" van looks eerily similar to the van used in the original 1980s TV series.  See it kick up dust after the jump.

It was clear that director Joe Carnahan wasn't interested in taking "The A-Team" in a new direction when he cast the Mr. T lookalike Rampage Jackson in the role of B.A. Baracus.  Still, why not at least update the team's ride a bit?

Nine photos of the GMC conversion van have been posted on SplashNews and - from the air foil on the back to the red stripes on the side - it looks like this baby could have driven right out of the pages of "Car and Driver" circa 1979.  It makes you wonder if the film's heroes are indeed Iraq war veterans out to clear their names or pedophiles out to cruise the mall.

I'm not a car nut though, so what do I know.  I am sure that Carnahan's latest concession to the show's history will continue to please all the old-school "A-Team" fans out there.

As we told you last week, Sharlto Copley ("District 9") recently signed on to Carnahan's "A-Team" in the plum role of demolitions expert "Mad" Murdoch along with actress Jessica Biel who will play Faceman's former flame. They're joining Liam Neeson, who is playing Col. John 'Hannibal' Smith.

"The A-Team" will hit theatres on June 11, 2010
