On October 2nd, for only two weeks, Walt Disney/Pixar is re-releasing the first two “Toy Story” movies in theaters as a double feature. While you may immediately think why would I pay to see these two movies again in a theater? Perhaps you’re thinking it’s nothing more than a cash grab. While I usually rail against studios trying to get more money out of the consumer for the same product, this time it’s different.
The reason? Pixar has gone back to the source files and turned both “Toy Story” and “Toy Story 2″ into 3D movies. While no one yet knows how they’re going to look, I think we can all agree Pixar can be trusted to do it right and they’re going to look great.
Anyway, last night I was at the Bridge Theater in Los Angeles and spotted the first poster for the 3-D re-release. It’s after the jump.
note: the black lines in the poster are the lights behind it. They’re not on the poster.

I would love to watch both movies in 3-D but I don´t know if we will have this opportunity in Spain. I hope So.
P.S.: Frosty, I read on coming soon that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince did 20 million on midnight screenings, beating The Dark Knight.
