MTV has debuted the first trailer for the upcoming Ryan Reynolds thriller, Buried, directed by Rodrigo Cortés (Concursante).  Judging by the trailer, this film looks as intense as I thought it would be back when we first reported on it in June of last year.  The trailer is only 49-seconds-long but it demonstrates the drama and intensity of the film without any "In a world" title cards or Mr. Movie Voice.  Back in June, we reported that Reynolds' character would be armed with only "a cell phone, a candle, and a knife."  It now looks like he's got himself a flashlight, which is more useful than a candle, but only slightly more useful than a fleshlight.

Hit the jump to check out the trailer.  Buried will premiere at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, which begins on the 21st and runs through the 31st.
