The first trailer for the two-hour Smallville JSA movie Absolute Justice has hit the net.  As we reported a few months ago, the episode was written by Geoff Johns and it features tons of other superheroes like Michael Shanks (Carter Hall/Hawkman), Brent Stait (Kent Nelson/Doctor Fate), Britt Irvin (Courtney Whitmore/Stargirl), Phil Morris (John Jones/Martian Manhunter), and Erica Carroll (Inza Nelson).  Here’s the synopsis:

Very cool. And that doesn't look bad. I prefer to watch the whole episode first! They're looking really great in the trailers!

I admit this looks a little strange….but lets just give it a chance!

This looks awesome and its two episodes of a CW show made into a movie, so relax about how bad it looks. It's also written by Geoff Johns, who probably knows just a bit more about comics than anyone commenting on here. (He also wrote the Legion episode from last season which was one of the best ever)

I'm not sure how its a “Poor man's Watchmen” considering the JSA was around like 40 years before Watchmen.

I just wonder what the Smallville haters will be doing for their big 10th anniversary?

And isn't the movie version of watchmen, just a poor man's version of Watchmen?

ohh Smallville — turning DC heroes into soap opera junk…………

And isn't the Watchmen comic just a poor man's version of the Charlton heroes?
As dumb as these costumes look, and as much as I dislike Smallville, I'll have to watch this, I think.

Charlton Heroes doesn't even compare to the original Watchmen. Watchmen actually has a good cast of characters, and a story that is 1000x better.

    really terrible teaser.

Whoever cut that together needs to go back to film school and learn how to edit. Ugh and that music… i was expecting a conga line to pop up.
