Focus Features has released the first trailer for For a Good Time Call…—given that the story centers on two young women (Ari Graynor and Lauren Anne Miller) who team to up to start their own sex hotline, the trailer is red band.  Matt saw the comedy at Sundance, and wasn’t especially impressed.  The trailer fails to rebut Matt’s criticisms thoroughly, but Graynor and Miller appear to have a) chemistry and b) fun with the characters.  That could be enough to carry a movie like this.  The trailer is at the very least worth a watch for the surprise cameo at the end.

Justin Long, James Wolk, Nia Vardalos, and Mark Webber co-star in For a Good Time, Call…, directed by Jamie Travis.  Hit the jump for the trailer and a new poster.

Official synopsis:

About to be homeless in New York City, enemies Katie and Lauren concede to living together. At first it’s war– Lauren’s hair dangles on the bathroom soap and Katie’s orgasms can be heard from down the hall. But when the girls team up to start their own dirty hotline, a genuine friendship is forged through fake orgasms. Before they know it, Katie is training Lauren how to moan like a pro, lie about what underwear she’s actually wearing and admit that she’ll lick anything. Through a romance with a caller and Lauren’s phone-sexual awakening, the girls learn that just because someone pees in your hair in college, doesn’t mean they won’t change your life ten years later.

This trailer should be banned!!! Just went to see TED and got to see dildos bigger than midgets and hear about women having men orgasm on their faces. Disgusted! I bet these actresses parents are very proud of their daughters. Smfh

At the least they should have warned people prior to purchasing the ticket. During the preview, the sold out showing, about 1/3 of the people got up and left, many parents with young adults.

Not a good look for Mark Wahlberg!

Because TED is highbrow or a family movie? What in the world were parents & their young adult children doing at movie about a sexually perverted teddy bear who pretends to have sex with a cash register, while staring at a grossed out young woman in the preview? What previews were they expecting, Pixar films? I’m confused how one is less bothersome than the other. Oh, was it because the women were in control of their sexuality as opposed to being subjugated?
