Finally, some advertising I can get behind for Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming flick, “Inglourious Basterds”. I’ve been bitching about how Mélanie Laurent and Christoph Waltz have been getting neglected even though one is the main lead and one is the main villain. Folks are gonna feel tricked if they go in expecting The Brad Pitt Show and he’s only one part of the movie. Posters like these say “You don’t know who these actors are but their characters are going to be important.”
And while those “So and So Is a Basterd” posters aren’t bad, I dig these new posters [via Empire] more. They’ve got better colors, they show off more personality, and they even have a little tiny quote, which isn’t bad considering that one of the reasons you go to a Quentin Tarantino flick is for the memorable dialogue. I hope we get some cool posters like this state-side but chances are that our final “Basterds” poster is just going to be Brad Pitt’s giant, floating, smirking head.
