It would be an understatement to call “Zombieland” the breakout hit of 2009. The film has racked up critical acclaim and box office numbers to match. It’s already made almost three times its budget and at a time when zombie films have become a little tiresome, it’s nice to see there’s still some life left in the genre.
Four international posters for the film landed online today and I hate them. Not because they look cool or they’re funny but because they’re inaccurate. Rules #8 and #21 are never mentioned in the film so they’re spurious claims at best. Also, “Don’t Be a Hero” is Rule #14. Sure, I don’t know how to visualize the “double-tap” but that doesn’t mean you just make up the rules. I seriously doubt that the person who made these would survive a zombie apocalypse. You can see these posters after the jump but make sure you see “Zombieland” so you understand the rules and survive the zombpocalypse.
For those just tuning in, here’s a brief synopsis:
Two men have found a way to survive a world overrun by zombies. Columbus is a big wuss — but when you’re afraid of being eaten by zombies, fear can keep you alive. Tallahassee is an AK-totin’, zombie-slayin’ badass whose single determination is to get the last Twinkie on earth. As they join forces with Wichita and Little Rock, who have also found unique ways to survive the zombie mayhem, they will have to determine which is worse: relying on each other or succumbing to the zombies.
