The spoiler-bubble is officially popping on Monday, which shouldn't be a problem: The world appears to still be flocking to theaters to experience Avengers: Endgame. A week after gobbling up pretty much every record there is to gobble, the massive Marvel movie directed by Joe and Anthony Russo took in another $40 million on Friday night, eyeing a record-breaking $150-153 million sophomore weekend. (Right now, Star Wars: The Force Awakens holds the second-weekend title with $149 million.) The film also crossed the $500 million mark domestically.

Worldwide...forget about it. Endgame currently sits at $1.914 billion after Friday night, making it all but certain the movie will soar over $2 billion by Sunday. As it stands, it's the fifth highest-grossing film of all time in its second weekend.

So just absurdly, unfathomably great news for Disney and Marvel, and kind've frustrating news for quite literally everyone else. Sony's The Intruder opened to a so-so $3.9 million on Friday, which isn't terrible news considering the thriller was reportedly made for $8 million. Directed by Deon Taylor (Traffik), the film stars Denis Quaid as an unhinged homeowner who sells his property to a young married couple (Meagan Good and Michael Ealy), but then refuses to leave without getting all stalker-y about it.

Lionsgate's Long Shot debuted Friday night in third place with $3.6 million. The comedy stars Seth Rogen as a journalist-turned-speechwriter for presidential hopeful Charlize Theron. Cue romantic shenanigans. Collider's own Matt Goldberg called the film "a pitch perfect rom-com in the mold of classics like Pretty Woman and The American President."

Over on the animation side, UglyDolls—based on the toy line of the same name—opened to a $2.5 million Friday night, good enough for fourth. STX Entertainment's first computer-animated feature film, UglyDolls stars Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, Pitbull, and Janelle Monae.

Take a look at Friday’s numbers below and check back tomorrow to see a few more records get broken. (Numbers via Box Office Mojo)
