A red-band trailer for Friends with Benefits has hit the interwebs.  Directed and co-written by Will Gluck (Easy A), the romantic comedy stars Justin Timberlake, Mila Kunis, Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Richard Jenkins, and Patricia Clarkson.  As you might expect, the film tells the story of two friends (Timberlake and Kunis) who decide to give no-strings-attached-coitus the old college try.

Prior to watching the trailer I was already looking forward to Friends with Benefits due to its solid comedic cast.  Although sparse in showing much of said cast (outside of Timberlake & Kunis), the trailer is only reaffirming my high expectations if for no other reason than for placing the term “slampiece” into my otherwise lacking sexual vernacular.  Assuming you’re not at work and/or around your mom, hit the jump to check out both the restricted trailer and a brief synopsis.  Friends with Benefits is slated to hit theaters on July 22nd, 2011.

Here’s the trailer [via Sony Pictures]:

Here’s a brief synopsis:

A young female headhunter (Mila Kunis) in New York convinces a potential recruit (Justin Timberlake) to leave his job in San Francisco behind and accept a job in the big apple. Despite an attraction to each other, both realize they’re everything they’ve been running from in a relationship and decide to become friends… with benefits. It’s the perfect arrangement–until they realize there’s no such thing as no strings attached.

    • When I clicked on this link and hit play I thought it was a red bad trailer for that movie. Saw the trailer also. Started watching this and was like ‘Oh Timberlake and Kunis’ have cameos. He must be Kutcher’s friend” then didn’t see Portman. Pretty quick I realized, “OMG, this is just another identical film!”

      No joke

  1. It’s like ‘the Illusionist’ and ‘the Prestige’ all over again.

Either someone isn’t getting the memo, or this is what war in Hollywood looks like.

I’m pretty sure no one care’s about Ashton anymore so – my bet is with this one.

  2. Of the two Friends with Benefits movies this one looks better and I suspect this one will perform better as well. Emma Stone and Woody Harrelson are both in this and the alwyas reliable Patricia Clarkson and Richard Jenkins. I think this one will be the hit of the two films.
