As one of the many people worried about J.J. Abrams mysterious series Fringe getting moved to Fridays, this new promo fighting the negative connotations of a Friday time slot is just what the doctor ordered. Aside from the fact that it features a prominent quote from yours truly, the series aims to make Fridays freaky and shows no signs of assuming an impending death from their midseason schedule change in January. As an inside joke referencing another Friday ridden Fox series, the first episode back from the winter break is titled Firefly. Fringe returns Friday, January 21st, and if you want to make sure it doesn’t end up doomed by its new time slot, make sure you tune in every single Friday. Check out the fantastic new promo:

    I’m Sorry, but what ever her name is who plays Olivia’s acting is fucking awful. I can’t be the only one who see’s this.
    It is PAINFUL to watch her. I actually cringe when she is on screen now.

    hopefully it doesnt end up getting canceled though because this is easily one of the highest quality shows on tv

    I really really hope they’re right!!
    I will be devastated if this brilliant show gets cancelled.

    I thought the movie-like trailer for the Entrada episode was epic but this, it is just damn “freaky”.

    Freakishly good. “It’s strawberry!”.

    Amazing show. It’s great to see a series actually improve dramatically when it so often goes the other way round.

    @Jonny Two times
    Anna Torv got a lot better since the beginning of the show. I think she does a great job with the two Olivias.

    Fringe has come into its own this season. The cast and writing are superb. This show should not be fighting to survive and the fact that it is says volumes about FOX’s marketing (regardless of how good this promo is).

    @Jonny two times, who cares it’s only a tv show and if you pay close attention you’ll note others poor performance and minor mistakes … personally I have enjoyed the series so far cause of the type of science fiction that they cover and as a tv show it’s one of the best :) Although I do fear that the move to Fridays is a killer, after working all week many people enjoy the night out on Friday and don’t watch much tv … only hope I’m wrong …
