Disney just released the very first images from the Frozen short film, Frozen Fever, but the studio already unveiled a brand new promo to go along with it.  The piece features Frozen and Frozen Fever directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee discussing the next chapter of the story, Anna’s (Kristen Bell) birthday.  Elsa (Idina Menzel) and Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) are thrilled to celebrate her big day, but then Elsa comes down with a cold, and catching a cold is a bit more complicated for Elsa than most.

The concept sounds promising and, of course, Buck and Lee seem hopeful, but there’s definitely a lot riding on this one.  Whether Frozen Fever is good or not likely won’t stop kids from scrambling for toys or stop fans of the feature film from singing “Let It Go,” but if Frozen Fever is a high quality hit, I’d like to bet it'll spark even more Frozen sequel talk.

You can check out the new Frozen Fever featurette below.  The short film is due to hit theaters with Cinderella on March 13th and will also feature Olaf (Josh Gad) and Kristoff’s reindeer, Sven.  Oscar-winning composers Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez have also written another original song for the movie as well.
