We’ve seen images and a featurette, but we’ve finally got our very first look at some footage from the Frozen short film, Frozen Fever, via Good Morning America. Elsa (Idina Menzel), Anna (Kristen Bell), Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and Olaf (Josh Gad) are all back, but this time around, they don’t have to save Arendelle from an eternal winter, but rather, just throw Anna a birthday party. Trouble is, Elsa catches a cold and when Elsa catches a cold, her powers can get out of control.
But this sneak peek at the film doesn’t get into much of that. It’s about 25 seconds of footage and the large majority of it is fun-loving shenanigans. Towards the 1:10 mark you can see that Elsa isn’t feeling too hot in the background of one shot, but Anna seems to be having a blast regardless. We also get a couple of glimpses of some minor characters from the feature who make their way into the short – Oaken (Chris Williams), the owner of Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post and Sauna, and Elsa’s giant snow monster, Marshmallow.
You can check out the Frozen Fever footage for yourself below. The full film will screen before Cinderella when it hits theaters on March 13th.
Here’s the brief synopsis for Frozen Fever:
