A rough trailer for Frozen Ground has leaked online.  The crime thriller stars Nicolas Cage as an Alaskan detective who sets out to end the murderous rampage of Robert Hansen (John Cusack), a serial killer who has gone unnoticed for 13 years after one of his victims (Vanessa Hudgens) escapes.  It looks like another low-budget Cage thriller, and in this one he’ll get to have a glower-off with Cusack while Hudgens tries to make everyone forget that she was in the High School Musical movies.

Hit the jump to check out the trailer.  The film also stars Dean Norris and 50 Cent.   Frozen Ground is currently set to hit theaters on November 30th.

we’ve been asked by the studio to take down the trailer

This is honestly the worst movie trailer that I have ever seen in my life. I think I’d rather watch “Abduction” followed by “Grown Ups” than this garbage.

This is obviously an extremely rough trailer. It should be taken down.

I’m assumeing the two guys above me don’t know that the killer in the movie was real, and how many real people he killed.

I didn’t know that until the article came out today. Neither, I would guess, did you, Moe.

But specifically, what those two commenters were talking about wasn’t the content of the trailer, but rather the fact that the trailer was a rough cut. Not, like, a rough cut of the movie, which would be acceptable, but as if the trailer were just kind of cobbled together by the janitor at the studio and then shipped out. It wasn’t the movie they thought looked bad, just the trailer.

I hate when people find somehting out on Cracked, and then act all holier than thou around other people that still don’t know about the thing they just just found out about.

It does seem that James at least thinks the whole thing looks bad but bases that belief on the trailer
