"Dramedy" is almost a dirty word when it comes to movies or television.

You won't see that genre at any Blockbuster and I'm sure studio execs probably cringe when they hear the word. But if there's a man who can pull it off it's Judd Apatow and judging just by the trailer for his new film "Funny People", it looks like he's done it with flying colors. The stuff about George Simmons (Adam Sandler) dying doesn't feel maudlin and I laughed more often and harder at some of the jokes in this trailer than I have at some recent "comedies".

There just seems to be an abundance of greatness in this movie. From the love for stand-up comedy to Eric Bana clearly having loads of fun to Leslie Mann's quasi-Aussie accent, I absolutely cannot wait for this movie. Also, I want that "Superman-Star of David" shirt Rogen wears at the beginning of the trailer. E-mail me if you know where I can get that.

Check out the trailer below or here in HD. "Funny People" hits theatres on July 31st.
