A French trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation has been released. It plays like a mash-up of the first domestic trailer for the film and the recent Super Bowl spot, with some new footage mixed in. I continue to be impressed by what we’re seeing from Retaliation; it just looks like a really, really fun movie. The pic seems to be more of a franchise reboot than a direct sequel to the first G.I. Joe, and the lack of Channing Tatum suggests we’re getting an almost entirely new cast headed up by Dwayne Johnson. The new trailer retains the “Seven Nation Army” remix, and a few bits of humor are sprinkled throughout for good measure.
Hit the jump to watch the trailer. The film also stars Adrianne Palicki, D.J. Cotrona, and Bruce Willis. G.I. Joe: Retaliation opens June 29th.

More of a reboot than a sequel? Maybe on the cast. Plot wise, it’s a direct sequel. Zartan is the President. Cobra has to break Cobra Commander and Storm Shadow out of prison.
I think it’s obvious it’s a sequel but they’re putting new blood into it (behind the camera as well as in front of it).
Fail…big time.
Looks like crap.Poor Bruce Willis to be dragged into thisfiasco.
Looks like it’ll be much better than the first one. Looking forward to it.
I think this one will be good ,and so far trailers have been good
