The first trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation has gone online. While I was underwhelmed by the Entertainment Tonight sneak peek, this full trailer is actually kind of fantastic (actual trailer editors > ET editors). It’s got some stellar action, a cool story, and a chill-inducing shot featuring the White House. The story finds the Joes in deep, as the entirety of the G.I. Joe team has been killed save for a few remaining survivors. Director Jon Chu has staged some nice action sequences here, and the trailer is elevated by a nifty cut of The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army.”

So the reason Channing Tatum only shot for 2 weeks was because Duke bites it in the First Act? That’s kinda lame.
Killing off Channing Tatum is the best thing this film could have done. I’ll probably see the movie just for the sake of his inevitable terribly acted death scene.
Channing Tatium was one of the main reasons why I didn’t want to see this movie but if he dies off then I might give it a chance.
Channing Taturm was the sole reason why I couldn’t enjoy the movie at all,otherwise I don’t mind cheesy fx heavy action movies.This dude could win a staring contest with a tree.
Sure, it’s cheesy and cheap and isn’t anything Willis hasn’t said twenty times before, but that one-liner he gives at the end still got a genuine laugh from me. Damn this movie, now I kind of want to see it.
I hate myself for thinking that this might be kind of cool and worth seeing … Damn you Snake Eyes for being such a bada$$

The money looked well spent this time when it was just shit in the last one. Snake Eyes is fixed.

I loved the first one. The moment Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow threw down it was set.
Shocked to see that Channing Tatum signed up just to die in the trailer, lol. Oh well. The Rock and Bruce Willis are going to kick ass.
If there’s no Cobra Commander and no Destro, who’s the villain? Without either of the aforementioned, you just don’t have a movie in my opinion. Of course, there’s always Golobulus and Serpentor but I think it’s safe to say those aren’t happening.

Looks way better than the first was. Thank God Tatum isn’t in it for too long either. The mountain climbing, sword fight scene definitely used the Top Chef sound effect to at one point.

Its a movie based off of toys/cartoon/comic books, what are you expecting? A movie that will be right up there with Casablanca?

Best crossover ever!!! I’d even buy the 3 3/4 inch figure. Now add in Bourne and I’m set.
And I agree…killing off Duke (i.e. Tatum “Acts worse than Sam Worthington” Channing) is great. I hope Scarlett is saved since she’s so hot and important to the Joe mythos. Either way this looks better than the 1st one, but that isn’t really too difficult.

This doesn’t look that bad. I agree with most of the comments above me, Tatum was one of the reasons the movie tanked. Willis and The Rock make me want to see this movie even more! The rock climbing/sword battle scene will be epic.
I’m just glad it looks a lot better than the first. I don’t know that they have to kill everyone off, maybe just have a new roster, but regardless, it looks better. Its fun to see Jinx, I’d love to see Tunnel Rat too.
It looks like they removed the stupid mouth sculpt on Snake Eyes, that alone is enough for me. I would love to see Storm Shadow in the white and gray camo gi. I’d also love to see Timber but I know that’s reaching.

While I’m happy Tatum gets killed, I’m not happy christopher eccleston or Joseph Gordon-Levitt aren’t returning.
The first one was mindless, but fun, but JGL made it kinda awesome, and I wanted to see more silver headed Christopher Eccleston.
