Paramount has released a new trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation that reveals more of the story and showcases some really cool action that’s been amplified by some great looking CGI. While I was in the minority for liking the first G.I. Joe movie, I’ll admit the new trailer looks like a huge step forward for the franchise and the casting of Dwayne Johnson as Roadblock and Bruce Willis as the original Joe seems like it’s going to pay off in a big way at the box office. G.I. Joe: Retaliation opens June 29 and also stars Adrianne Palicki, Channing Tatum, Walton Goggins, Ray Park, Byung-hun Lee, Elodie Yung, RZA, Ray Stevenson, and D.J. Cotrona.

I don’t get why Duke is not really in this movie. Channing Tatum actually isn’t getting on my nerves lately.

Alright, I didn’t expect to see London being blowed up in that kind of fashion! Looks pretty neat. But then again, I despise the first movie and for the rest, this doesn’t look like quite an improvement.
If Duke dies then why do they have the character poster with the big scar on his face. I think he’ll end up being alive.
They did the same thing for Cyclops during X3 – had him on posters and all suited up, but he was only him the film for about 5 minutes and never even wore the X-men outfit.

In the remake of Mission Impossible all the operatives die except Cruise’s character. WTF! And Phelps was a bad guy. LOL!

This is simply a formulaic summer action movie to give established (aging) action movie actors their contractually-obligated summer action movie in the year 2012. Wait to rent it, if you really want to see it.
FYI I am seeing The Avengers (aka Iron Man 3) in the theater on opening day.
Hey, The Avengers won’t be Iron Man 3. I seen it in a fan screening and all the characters played out evenly. Can’t wait to see it again!!
If the original really turned most of you off from even giving this film a chance that’s fine. Less of a crowd I have to deal with on opening day.

I am sick and tired of hollywood coming into an established franchise with a built in fan base and completing destroying its formula. JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE MAKING A MOVIE DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO KILL OFF MAIN CHARACTERS!
I can’t believe people are upset about Duke being killed off. Tatum is terrible for the part. And the character isn’t even interesting. He’s just the plain-Jane everyman. There are more interesting characters and better actors to portray them.
I think this movie looks great. It’s a huge step up from the first one. I’m honestly more excited for this than Avengers. I’m looking forward to both, but I think Retaliation has more to prove and therefore piques my interest more.
This isnt about Tatum is about DUKE. Hate The actor not the character. Like everyone here is say Channing tatum at least improve since the 1st film. I like him in haywire and 21 jump street. Let’s not forget that Storm Shadow supposedly dies in the first one yet here he is in the sequel. Maybe Duke “dies” early and we’ll see him in part 3.

Actually impressed! Looks like they’ve improved a lot from last time. But what the hell is up with the cast?! Looks like a bunch of b list pretty boy actors have been thrown together, with the exception of The Rock and Bruce Willis, who just seems to be showing up in movies these days to remind audiences he’s still alive!
