After three years of solely being associated with Game of Thrones, Turner is finally making moves to establish a career for herself outside of Westeros. Â Mary Shelleyâs Monster isnât her first â sheâs actually got two other films in post-production right now, Alone with Ray Liotta and Barely Lethal with Hailee Steinfeld and Jessica Alba â but this could be a big one for her, one that could really show off some serious range courtesy of Mary Shelleyâs âmonster of an alter ego.â
According to Deadline, the script comes from Deborah Baxtrom and follows a young Mary Shelley while she pens Frankenstein and also tries to keep this alter ego in check.  Turner will lead as Shelley herself alongside War Horseâs Jeremy Irvine whoâs locked to play her husband, Percy Shelley.  Taissa Farmiga is also confirmed to take a supporting role, portraying Mary Shelleyâs stepsister, Claire Clairmont. Itâs a solid group right there, but the downside to this one is that theyâre going up against yet another Mary Shelley biopic, A Storm in the Stars starring Elle Fanning.
After a seemingly never-ending development process, the big screen adaptation of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is finally going places. Â Just a couple of weeks ago, it was announced that Lily James, Bella Heathcote and Sam Riley are all set to star and now, according to Deadline, Huston is joining the group as well. Â The outlet is reporting that Huston just closed his deal to step in as Wickham, the dashing lieutenant who strikes an instant connection with Jamesâ character, Elizabeth Bennett.
Lastly, weâve got Gadot in Ariel Vromenâs thriller, Criminal.  THR is reporting that Gadot is set to join the impressive ensemble cast, which already includes Kevin Costner, Ryan Reynolds, Gary Oldman and Tommy Lee Jones.  Costner will lead the film as a prison inmate whoâs selected to receive the memories, secrets and skills of a deceased CIA operative so that he can eventually thwart some sort of evil scheme.  Gadotâs joining the film as Reynoldsâ characterâs wife, but thus far, we donât have any information on how theyâll fit into Costnerâs characterâs situation yet.
