At the end of tonight’s Game of Thrones, HBO aired a very short teaser trailer for season 2. If you were hoping for a shot or two from next season, you’re going to be disappointed. But there is a reason you’re not going to see anything…they haven’t started filming it yet. According to the network, right after next month’s Comic-Con, they start shooting season two.
If you’ve been hearing the growing buzz on this brilliant new show, let me add to the chorus: Game of Thrones is one of the best shows on any network. I’ve fallen head over heels in love with this amazing series and I cannot wait for season two. Hit the jump for the teaser trailer.
Finally, if you missed the 8-bit version of the Game of Thrones theme, click here. It’s pretty cool.

I could not agree more. I am a very picky TV watcher and Game Of Thrones grabbed me by the neck within the first few episodes. Just amazing. This is what TV SHOULD be.
The whole series has been genius and has inspired me to read the books (which have been just as good, proving what an excellent job they’ve done of adapting them). If you haven’t read them, do – it’s like a “director’s cut” of the series with little bits they didn’t have time or space for, and details that will no doubt crop up later in the series.
Sean Bean deserves an award for his part in this. He’s acted his ass off, as have most of the cast. Just amazing.
Part of me wishes they’d call Season 2 “A Clash of Kings” to keep with the books… but would the casual viewer know that it was Season 2 of Game of Thrones that way?
Interesting point. I think they should continue calling the series ‘A Game of Thrones.’ It will eliminate possible confusion to viewers and, well, the title kinda works for all the books when you think about it.
An EXCELLENT show, not my favorite, but really great. If only some of the background actors were better at their jobs. (Mainly the fat Coward character.) And the Tit sucking kid. As well as a few others. They kinda let the side down for the series, but the others hold it together. Sean Bean is fantastic in this, but the Imp steals the show. Brilliant!
Not quite as great as Spartacus, or Dexter for me, but not far behind. It is very intriuging though, as its a world that mirrors ancient Britain and Europe, yet is different enough to keep us guessing.
A great Show, Sean Bean is brilliant, the cast is fantastic i just start to read the books and is like agentfrankie said is like a director cut.
I Cant wait for the second season.
Why does Sean Bean have no left leg in that picture?
I see a boot strap but it’s just floating there with nothing inside.
I was just wondering the same thing… what a strange shot.
you can’t see his leg because of the table in the foreground. The table kind of blends into the floor which makes it look like he is just floating there. But if you really focus in on the area just past the chairs you can see the table’s edge and the trinkets on top of it.
I was wondering the same thing? What could this be symbosizing?
I started out really liking the show, and then I read the books and and I can’t bring myself to watch the show any more. I really want to, but it just doesn’t feel as good after the books. The visuals are awesome, the actors are great and then I get mixed up in the angles in the books that they avoid in the show. At least it isn’t the difference between the books and the show for True Blood.
Absolutely Brilliant show..
This show has me hooked just like the Wire had and Breaking Bad. Great character development and political intrigue wins every time and I love that the fantasy element is kept to the background as opposed to having it in your face.
Cannot wait… I’m not so patiently waiting for this new season. Not a big fan of the books, but the TV show is probably the best show on TV currently.

great publish, very informative. I wonder why the other specialists of this sector do not understand this. You must proceed your writing. I am sure, you’ve a great readers’ base already!
