On the heels of several new promotions for its upcoming Game of Thrones season, HBO has now released a few new photos that, while they don't reveal too much, give us a little taste of what is to come this season.  The cable network also recently posted blue-hued character profile pictures as well as an extended trailer that features even more characters and teasers (Lord's Kiss, anyone?) than the original promo spot (oh what an additional twenty seconds can do).

The collection includes new photos of Lena Heady as Cersei (one in a dress that somewhat resembles one of Margeary Tyrell's outfits last year -- looking to please House Tyrell, are we?) as well as a "because I'm worth it" Jon Snow (Kit Harington) hair shot, plus reaction shots from Natalie Tena as Osha and a shockingly cherubic Jack Gleeson as (that little shit) Joffery.  Hit the jump for the pics and more.  Game of Thrones returns to HBO on Sunday, March 31st at 9 p.m. It is known.

The series' third season will cover roughly the first half of A Storm of Swords, the third novel in George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire book series, and will be introducing a slew of new characters from locations such as Riverrun (where House Tully, Catelyn Stark's family, is located) to some as of yet unmet members of Stannis Baratheon's family at Dragonstone (I see you in that promo, Shireen!)  According to the so-far released episode titles, book fans will recognize that we are in for some of the most iconic moments of the series this year.
