Winter may have a hold of the northeastern United States at the moment, but the folks in Westeros are still bracing for impact. HBO has unveiled a pair of new Game of Thrones Season 5 clips today, offering up a brief tease of two of the show’s storylines. The first clip is a relatively lengthy scene between Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Mance Rayder (Ciaran Hinds) up closer to the wall, while the second picks up with Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) and Podrick (David Portman) after their altercation with The Hound.

I’m happy to see that these clips aren’t revealing, but more teasing, as I enjoy going into each season of Game of Thrones knowing as little as possible about the events that are about to unfold. This season in particular should be interesting, as showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff have begun forging a path to their own endgame, with the hope of seeing George R.R. Martin finish the books before the show is over now all but lost.

Regardless, check out the new Game of Thrones Season 5 clips below, via HBO. Game of Thrones returns on April 12th.
