After last night’s thrilling episode of Game of Thrones, fans were treated to a brief trailer for the show’s season finale, “The Winds of Winter”, which takes it name from the upcoming George R.R. Martin book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series (it makes me wonder if there’s an episode titled “A Dream of Spring” in our future). In the trailer, we get sneak peeks at the plotlines for Cersei, Jamie, Bran, Tyrion/Daenerys, and Jon/Sansa. That means we’re probably done with Arya for the year as well as the Hound. Then again, there’s only so much you can fit into a promo, and this will be a super-sized episode running 69 minutes. Perhaps they can squeeze in all the plotlines.

Here's the official synopsis for Game of Thrones:

Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun.

It will stretch from the south, where heat breeds plots, lust and intrigues; to the vast and savage eastern lands; all the way to the frozen north, where an 800-foot wall of ice protects the kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men...all will play the 'Game of Thrones.'
