As we enter in to the final days before the Game of Thrones Season 6 premiere — of which there are no screeners and thus, we have no idea what to expect — HBO has started their drip of clips and images to tease us. A new batch of photos does allow for some speculation though, of course, as well as a clearer shot of things we saw in the first trailer, like the ship that I originally thought was sailing into Pyke, but it looks like that’s King’s Landing and the sigil is that of House Martell.
Speaking of House Martell, it looks like we’ll be seeing Ellaria (Indira Varma) talking to Doran in the premiere, but will she cop to the poison she placed on Myrcella’s (Aimee Richardson) lips that has now essentially declared war between the two houses? Also, we see Theon (Alfie Allen) and Sansa (Sophie Turner) on the run (we already basically knew they survived their fall, but still), and Ramsay (Iwan Rheon) mourning that witch Myranda (Charlotte Hope), who Theon killed in a moment of chaos before he and Sansa escaped. One can assume Ramsay is definitely plotting the most horrendous revenge …
There’s also the former Khaleesi (Emilia Clarke) being held captive by a new Khal, Moro (Joseph Naufahu), and Cersei (Lena Headey) looking contemplative about her future. With the show catching up to the books (mostly, I think the Pyke storyline is going to backtrack into A Feast for Crows somewhat), what happens next is anyone’s guess. Let us know in the comments if you spot anything interesting in these images, or what you’re most looking forward to in our return to Westeros.
Game of Thrones Season 6 premieres Sunday, April 24th on HBO. Check back here on Collider each week for episode recaps from Kayti Burt.
