We’ve already seen a short trailer for the forthcoming epic series Game of Thrones on HBO, but it was little more than a tease. A couple other trailers have since surfaced on HBO, but with roughly the same amount of footage and little-to-no-dialogue. Now HBO has released an all-new trailer which finally gives us a better idea of the story and style behind the adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s fantasy novel series A Song of Fire and Ice. The trailer brings epic action, medieval drama and even some sexuality, a staple of any HBO series. You can check out the trailer after the jump and look forward to the series which will begin airing sometime in early 2011.
The sprawling tale set in the mythical land of Westeros tells the story of the noble Stark family who become caught up in high court intrigue when patriarch Eddard (played by Sean Bean) becomes the king’s new right-hand man. The cast includes Mark Addy, Sean Bean, Lena Headey, Harry Lloyd, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Jennifer Ehle and Peter Dinklage. Excited?

man hbo really knows their audience, will check it out, remind me of rome though, but with
medieval times. People you must check out the firebreather from cartoon network, it sounds stupid, but it was fun
Not to be Captain of the Nerd Police or anything, but it’s ‘A Song of Ice and Fire,’ not Fire and Ice.
Could have played better as a Movie. not sure i wanna sit through a series about medieval folks. will pass
Srsly lob? Well, w/e. Not sure how it being a tv show vs. a movie makes a difference, I think a tv show would have better odds at developing an interesting story and atmosphere vs. a 2 hour movie (I mean, name the last medieval movie that was worth a damn… it was more than 10 years ago).
Thank you for any other fantastic article. The place else may anyone get that kind of info in such an ideal approach of writing? I’ve a presentation next week, and I’m at the search for such information. Game of thrones is the best! Watch the season 1 now!
