Director Etan Cohen's upcoming R-rated comedy Get Hard stars Kevin Hart as a struggling businessman tasked with training up hedge fund-manager Will Ferrell to survive a dime in San Quentin. The premise is tailor-made to the particular comedic talents of Hart and Ferrell, and one that promises to let them flex their muscles and push their own personal boundaries.

While on set in New Orleans for the Gary Sanchez Productions and Warner Bros. feature, our small group of visiting journalists got to watch Hart and Ferrell at work. We'll also be running interviews with the duo, as well as director Cohen, executive producer Chris Henchy, and co-star Edwina Findley Dickerson. To tide you over in the meantime, here are 15 things to know about the film:

    Get Hard     is the first on-screen pairing of Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart.

  • Will Ferrell’s character, James, isn’t meant to be an overt racist, but rather a statistical freak who expects people to align with his expected demographics.
  • Kevin Hart’s character, Darnell, doesn’t conform to those statistics, but plays up the stereotypes as Ferrell’s trainer in order to take his money and move his family out of a bad neighborhood.
