Videos and photos from the set of the Ghost Rider sequel, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, have leaked online. As we previously reported, filming began on November 2nd. There’s nothing in the video or images that will blow your mind (although I think the only thing that might surprise me set-footage-wise would be Nicolas Cage being set on fire), but if you’re eager to see the awful hairpiece and a cool motorcycle (but not the decked-out Ghost Rider bike), then you’ll want to take a look.
Hit the jump to check out the video and the images. Directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (Crank), Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance also stars Ciarán Hinds, Idris Elba and Violante Placido. The film is due out on February 17, 2012.

Johnny Blaze, aka Ghost Rider (Nicolas Cage), is hiding out in remote Eastern Europe and struggling to repress his curse. Blaze is recruited by a sect to take on the devil, who wants to take over his mortal son’s body on the boy’s birthday.

In a cheesy way I liked the first one but the CGI GHOSTRIDER was the main downfall. I hope cages blaze has a more prominent role. The first one could have been much better especially with the gay guy from American Beauty as your Villan, come on!!! I felt like he needed a tampon most of the movie. DONT GET ME STARTED ON FONDA EITHER..
I hope this second movie is good in a guilty pleasure kind of way.
I’m always surprised by which movies end up being profitable. While it’s hard to say whether Ghost Rider was better or worse than Elektra, they both don’t deserve sequels.
