Last week, we got Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliott’s theme for the new Ghostbusters movie, “I’m Not Afraid”. It was, to put it mildly, less than good. Thankfully, Japan is here to the rescue with a cover of the original Ray Parker Jr. song from four Japanese comedians — Tomochika, Oniyakko Tsubaki, Naomi Watanabe, and Shizuyo Yamasaki. It’s such a simple idea—having women do a cover of the original song—that it makes you wonder why Sony went out of their way to have a lousy band do a new song that would pale in comparison to the classic original (cue the people who believe that’s going to be the case with the new movie as well even though, unlike Fall Out Boy, the people behind the Ghostbusters remake are talented).

This is a delightful little cover that’s got synths, pop-and-locking, bright colors, and will generally just brighten your day. Watch the video below via The Verge.

Ghostbusters opens July 15th, and stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, Charles Dance, Michael Kenneth Williams, and Chris Hemsworth.
