While Comic-Con doesn't officially begin until Wednesday night, Legendary got a jump on the festivities by inviting a few reporters to check out their Godzilla Experience a day early.  In case you're not aware, Legendary converted a building near Comic-Con into a Godzilla experience that convention goers are going to flip for.  As you walk in you feel like you've been transported to Tokyo, and it really feels like Legendary spared no expense.  The walls are covered with cool street art, the middle of the main room has a real Ramen Bar, and the back room is filled with vintage Godzilla toys that will make you want to hit eBay as soon as you walk out the door.

And that's not all.

After you take in the main room and notice some awesome Godzilla Easter Eggs, you're transported into a back room where you're informed that America is under attack!  As soon as it happens, you're rushed into an elevator and then an office building, where you just might get a short glimpse of a very large monster.  More after the jump.

Since I don't want to spoil everything you'll get to see and do at the Godzilla encounter, I'll just say that if you have to wait in a big line to get in, it's definitely worth it.  Legendary really spent some serious coin to make this cool, and it's the type of thing that rarely happens outside of a Hollywood soundstage.

If you're coming to Comic-Con, you can visit GodzillaEncounter.com or the Legendary booth (#3920) in the convention center for more information on how to get in.

But for all the folks that can't make it to San Diego, I snapped about 75 pictures inside the encounter, but I stopped taking pictures once I was whisked into the back room.  So everything you see below is from the main area when you first walk in.  As you'll see, it's loaded with cool stuff that's definitely worth seeing for yourself.

Let me know what you think about the exhibit in the comment section.  And tell me if you notice any of the Easter Eggs....
