Last week, Warner Bros. and Legendary began their Comic-Con viral campaign for Godzilla by painting a building in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter, and then a few days later by revving up “godzillaencounter.com“, which sounds like a kaiju dating site. Now, Godzilla director Gareth Edwards has added to the film’s marketing campaign by not only offering the update that principal photography has almost wrapped, but that fans in San Diego should keep their eyes open and stay tuned to the viral website as well as Legendary’s twitter feed. I don’t know what WB/Legendary have planned, but I’ll be curious to see how effective it is in rounding up curious convention-goers.
