20th Century Fox has released a new full-length Gone Girl trailer. Directed by David Fincher, the adaptation of the Gillian Flynn novel of the same name stars Ben Affleck as a man who becomes the lead suspect when his wife (Rosamund Pike) disappears on their fifth wedding anniversary. After watching this trailer, this movie firmly remains one of my most anticipated of the year. It’s unmistakably Fincher with cold, dim light permeating every scene (if there’s even much of a light source at all), and a remorselessness amongst all the characters. There’s a bit more of the plot in this trailer as well, and while it doesn’t have the eerie attitude of the teaser trailer, it does a good job of conveying both the mystery and creepiness of the story.

On the occasion of his fifth wedding anniversary, Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) reports that his beautiful wife, Amy (Rosamund Pike), has gone missing. Soon his lies, deceits and strange behavior have everyone asking the same dark question: Did Nick Dunne kill his wife?
Feel free to leave your thoughts on the trailer in the comments section. While author Gillian Flynn says the third act of the movie is different than the one in her book, we still ask that you please not spoil the novel in your comments.
