The first trailer for the thriller Gone has been released. The film stars Amanda Seyfried as a young woman who suspects that her missing sister has been abducted by the same serial killer who kidnapped her two years prior. The trailer’s actually not bad, as it sets up the movie almost as a revenge flick with the authorities refusing to believe Seyfried’s story. The young woman decides to set out on her own to track down the killer in order to free her sister. The pic looks like it could be a pretty intense little thriller in the vein of Minority Report.

With this and In Time, it looks like we have a new action star. I’ve loved Amanda since Mamma Mia!, so I’m happy with how her career as a star has grown.

Except for the cops laying about, it looks pretty good. Seyfried is surprisingly convincing as both victim and hunter.
