THR reports that Kinnear is in talks to star as Pastor Todd Burpo, the co-author of the true-life tale whose whose four-year old son purportedly died during surgery and went to heaven, only to wake up again with wild descriptions of where he had been.  Neither the boy’s father nor friends and family believe him until he starts to reveal details that he couldn't otherwise have known.  Kinnear will next be seen in Anchorman 2.

Next up from Deadline comes word that Jones will play a hitman and widower in The Killer's List.  Written by Brian Vining, the plot hinges on the kidnapping of the hitman's son and what happens after the kidnapper sends him a cardboard box containing his son’s fingers, a mobile phone and instructions to eliminate five of his former criminal associates.  The picture plans to shoot this July.

According to THR, Olivieri will join the Abscam project as Cooper's character's girlfriend.  Thomas Matthews (The Newsroom) has also joined the cast as the son of a New Jersey mayor, played by Renner.  The picture, previously titled American Bullshit, is loosely based on the true-life Abscam sting of the late 1970s and early ’80s.  In the film, "a financial con artist (Bale) and his mistress and partner-in-crime (Adams) are forced to work with an out-of-control federal agent (Cooper) to turn the tables on other con artists, mobsters and politicians."

Finally, Jonas and Lucas will star in Careful What You Wish For.  Here's the synopsis:

In the story, Doug (Jonas) gets more than he bargained for when he starts having an affair with Lena (Lucas), the young wife of an investment banker renting the lake house next door for the summer.  The husband’s suspicious death reveals a substantial life insurance policy. The central roles of Sheriff "Big Jack," and Insurance Investigator "Alvarez" are yet to be cast. Everyone is suspect in this edgy thriller reminiscent of “Basic Instinct” and "Body Heat."
