Here's a quick look at the highlights of our most recent movie casting roundup:

Hit the jump for more on each project.

From Heat Vision, Arterton is currently in negotiations to star as one-half of The Wright Girls. Inspired by the Japanese film, 2LDK, The Wright Girls is a dark comedy about two girls who live together as pretend best friends who are co-stars on a successful TV show.  In reality, they can't stand each other and go to increasingly violent lengths to prevent one another from securing a contested movie role.  The other half of the duo has not yet been cast.  There had been rumors that Megan Fox was of interest, but sources say she is not involved.  Andy Fickman (She's the Man) is in talks to direct the project, which was scripted by Bert Royal (Easy A).  Arterton can next be seen in Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters opposite Jeremy Renner.

Next, Variety reports that Merriman will play Dixie Walker, the Dodgers right fielder who, at first, opposes Jackie Robinson's addition to the team, but eventually comes to support him.  Robinson, the first African-American to play baseball in the major leagues, will be played by Chadwick Boseman (Persons Unknown). The biopic also stars Christopher Meloni (Law and Order: SVU) as Leo Durocher and Harrison Ford as Branch Rickey, the Brooklyn Dodgers general manager who signed Robinson. 42 is written and directed by Brian Helgeland (A Knight's Tale).

Hunger Games, Variety reports that Rambin will now star opposite Lerman in another young adult franchise, Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Sea of Monsters. She will play Clarisse, the daughter of Ares who obviously has a bit of a temper, but is a skilled warrior and perfectionist. Directed by Thor Freudanthal (Diary of a Wimpy Kid), the Percy Jackson sequel also stars Nathan Fillion (Serenity) as the Greek God Hermes and Anthony Head (Buffy), who is replacing Pierce Brosnan as Chiron. The Sea of Monsters stars shooting April 16th in Vancouver.

Finally, Variety reports that Lautner will have a sidekick when he goes up against Sandler in the sequel to Grown Ups. Henrie will play one of Lautner's fraternity brothers who antagonize Sandler and his cohorts, Kevin James, David Spade, Rob Schneider and Chris Rock. Original director Dennis Dugan is returning to helm Sander's first ever sequel.  Mostly known for Wizards of Waverly Place, a show for which he wrote two episodes, Henrie can next be heard as a voice in the animated film, The Secret World of Arriety from Studio Ghibli.
