Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro are rumored to go head to head in Tim Kelleher’s Grudge Match. According to Production Weekly, the project is housed at Warner Bros. Not much else is known about the project at this time — hell, IMDB just barely posted a space for it. But THR states the film is about two former boxers, Billy “The Kid” McGuigan and Henry “Razor” Sharp, who go into the ring for one final round against one another. The film will reportedly have a tone similar to that of Clint Eastwood’s Space Cowboys.

Kelleher has written for (among other things) the popular 90s television show In Living Color, and has directed one feature film, the aptly titled 1998 TV-movie The Garbage Picking Field Goal Kicking Philadelphia Phenomenon. Kelleher wrote the script to Grudge Match, which is produced by Billy Gerber and Mark Steven Johnson; no word on whether he will take the directorial chair or pass this on to somebody else. This will be the second time Stallone and DeNiro have teamed up, having starred together in director James Mangold’s Copland back in 1997.
