Are you excited to see the first Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer? Of course you are! Director James Gunn knows you are. Who would also appreciate if you stopped pestering him about it on social media.

Last week, Gunn took to Facebook to explain why it doesn’t matter how many times you ask him to reveal the GOTG 2 trailer, it’s not going to happen until a time that has already been decided upon:

On the one hand, I understand being excited for the movie. On the other hand, the people who are foaming at the mouth for the trailer aren’t excited for the movie; they’re excited for marketing, and they haven’t figured out that the two aren’t the same thing. The marketing could be representative of the film as a whole, but at the end of the day, it’s about two minutes of cherry-picked footage designed to make the film look enticing so that you'll go see it when it opens on May 5, 2017.

However, Gunn also had some neat news to mention on Facebook. The director revealed that there’s a special Groot version of the script for Vin Diesel so that the actor knows the real meaning behind every “I am Groot.” I would love for this thing to become a special feature where you could turn on a subtitle track and see what Gunn had written every time Groot says his single line.

Here’s the official synopsis for Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2:

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
