Hannibal series creator Bryan Fuller knows that waiting until June for new episodes is difficult for us Fannibals, so he's been mercifully dropping morsels along the way. Although, these appetizers are really just acting as massive teasers for our summertime main course. In a series of Tweets last night, Fuller gave us 3 exciting, key pieces of information about the season.

First, that the season premiere will time jump:

"The #Hannibal Season 3 opener takes place over four different periods of time #HannibalReturnsJune4"

Or as @chronolady puts it perfectly:

"Four different places to kill our emotions then Well done"

The first 3 episode titles were also revealed, along with the fact that Vincenzo Natali (Splice) will be directing them. Plus, since the series starts off with Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen) and Bedelia (Gillian Anderson) in Italy, the episode names have fittingly taken the form of Italian cuisine:

"First 3 Episodes of #Hannibal S3 "Antipasto" "Primavera" "Secondo" directed by Vincenzo Natali #HannibalReturnsJune4"

Finally, in some really excellent news, Neil Marshall (The Descent) will be directing the 8th episode of the season:

"Ep 8 'The Grand Red Dragon' director Neil Marshall made the best horror movie of this century #HannibalReturnsJune4"

So it's going to be horrifying. Beautiful, and horrifying. Yep, that fits. Fuller has always had a tightly-crafted vision and design for each season of Hannibal, and from what we've been teased with, it seems like Season 3 might even be the show's best.

If you're already having antler-filled visions, Hannibal returns to NBC June 4th. Leather-clad Hannibal compels you.
