First Trailer for HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART I Premieres Online This Monday; Will Play in Front of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE

Warner Bros. has announced that the first trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I will be released online this Monday at 4pm PST.  It will then premiere in theaters on June 30th in front of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.  I imagine it will be one of those situations where the trailer is better than the movie it precedes.  Then again, Harry Potter is a fantastic, wonderful franchise the reaches across all demographics whereas Twilight…not so much.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I opens in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D on November 19th.

  1. Well I can't wait to watch it on the computer. I love Harry Potter, I admit it is a bit dorky, but the story is still very entertaining and I can't help but feel good when I leave the theater for each film.

Twilight is pathetic though. :P Wish they would've put it in front of something else like Iron Man 2 or Toy Story 3.

That doesn't happen with the HP movies. I heard it was shown at CinemaExpo earlier today and everyone there agreed that it could possibly be the best trailer of the year. Says a lot about the movie. :P

Here's the quote from one of the attendees:

“New Harry Potter teaser will play with Twilight's #Eclipse next week and includes footage of both part I & II. Best trailer of year so far! Based on the FANTASTIC teaser at CinemaExpo, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, 2D looks amazing in itself– no need for 3D”

  3. A trailer for “My Little Pony: Four Ponies of the Apocalypse” would be better than a Twilight movie. I was subjected to the Eclipse trailer several times and every second was pure torment. Am I the only woman in the world who hopes the werewolves eat all the vampires and then die of food poisoning? Is that too much to ask?
