Harry Potter is the gift that keeps on giving - the books, the movies, the theme parks, the upcoming spin-off series Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and of course, Pottermore.  If you're a hardcore Harry Potter nut like me, you've probably already availed yourself of Pottermore, J.K. Rowling's interactive social media site designed to let fans step into the books and explore the world of Harry Potter via the internet.  It's a fun site, and though it's obviously aimed at a younger audience, Rowling occasionally releases new stories and insights to the characters and creations we've come to love.  Hit the jump to find out when you can look forward to your next Potter fix.

In an email to Pottermore members Rowling revealed that, beginning December 12th, she will debut twelve new pieces at 8:00am EST every day until Christmas eve.  The email teased a ghost story, a new potion or two, and even Rowling's thoughts on Harry's nemesis Draco Malfoy.

If you're a huge Potterhead and haven't yet checked out the site for some reason, it's definitely worth a look.  The best part is undoubtedly the sorting ceremony in which you answer a series of rather bizarre questions and are ultimately placed in the Hogwarts house to which you belong (Hufflepuff and proud, here).  Unfortunately there's not yet a quiz to determine your Patronus, which seems like a huge missed opportunity.  There are, however, some interesting pieces that delve into the back story of some of the series most beloved characters...and also its most despised.  On Halloween, Rowling revealed 5000 words on Dolores Umbridge, and fans were given 5000 new reasons to detest that horrid woman.  I'll definitely be checking out the new writings as the debut, and in particular can't wait to see what she reveals about fan-favorite Draco Malfoy.
